We build culturally responsive programs so that women with great ideas can start businesses. We service businesses and other small business support organizations. Certified MBE, DBE, EDWOSB. Meet Our Founder There was no clear path for my entrepreneurial journey. Avercom was started while attending Southern University A&M and studying mechanical engineering. What began as a web design company and home-based call center quickly grew into a technical assistance center. I conquered many entrepreneurial milestones early in my journey. Even being awarded “key to the city”. But for all that I’d accomplished, I didn’t have what I needed most; mentorship and direction. I’d reached the peak of what I’d seen personally in my small town and made many mistakes along the way. While running my own business I saw that what my clients needed was more than a website. A website was just a boutique in the middle of the desert. They needed a plan, a roadmap of sorts. Their needs wrote what was our first client “playbook”. After creating the playbook I saw that though I’d told them what the next steps were, so many processes were convoluted and carried systemic bias that direct technical instruction was necessary. We didn’t know at the time that it was dubbed technical assistance. We were just dedicated to our “revenue first” mission for our clients.Because I was in these systems daily, I knew that most informational sites were lacking. Most were run by organizations of whom the facilitators were not entrepreneurs or were disconnected from the cultural barriers my clients faced daily. Others only had corporate experience with siloed knowledge. The most effective guidance I received was from other business owners who shared similar experiences and were familiar in practice and not theory. This birthed Avercom as a Technical Assistance Center and Small Business Academy for women. With our systems experience and in collaboration with partner businesses we address every stage of development for a service-based business. Ever evolving as we service more clients and arrive at arbitrary barriers to entry, we add solutions to our armamentarium. I found helping non-technical users appreciate technology in the simplest way is my calling. The purpose of TA services is to help guide businesses over and around technical barriers. We look forward to partnering with you. Now, Go run your business. Meet Kade Kade is dedicated to young entrepreneurs and their growth and development.
